The Genhib™ product line consists of corrosion and scale inhibitors, which provide two-fold protection.  These formulations contain blended phosphates that sequester trace heavy metals such as iron and manganese, while passivating the interior of cast iron pipe.  They function best when used as a maintenance treatment after heavily scaled pipe has been cleaned.

Description

The feed rate of Genhib™ will depend on the corrosiveness of the water to be treated as determined by its Langelier Saturation Index.  The types and amounts of dissolved trace metals also affect dosages.  A typical feed range is 0.5-5.0 mg/L (ppm).  Residuals are monitored by analysis of total hydrolyzed orthophosphate in a water sample.
