Hyper+Ion®
|
Hyper+Ion® is a tradename for General Chemical’s aluminum chlorohydrate (ACH), polyaluminum chloride (PACl) and aluminum chloride based product line. Our unique process produces one of the broadest offerings of this type of coagulant in North America. It encompasses numerous liquid products, containing both neat aluminum-based coagulants or can be a blend with organic polymers. The broadness of the product line was developed to specifically address water quality needs such as cold water treatment, enhanced settling rates, and improved turbidity removal. So, overall treatment characteristics for Hyper+Ion® products when compared to traditional coagulants would be: • Fast forming, dense floc • Effective cold water performance • Lowers alkalinity consumption • Alkali reduction • Chemical solids reduction DescriptionHyper+Ion® products are a family of prehydrolyzed inorganic coagulants. Hyper+Ion® products have an aluminum oxide (Al2O3) assay of 3% to 24% and basicities of 0% to 83%. Many grades contain organic polymers.
